After the popular success of 2023 - with more than 70,000 people in attendance - the Belgian round of the WEC (World Endurance Championship) offers an even more exceptional spectacle, with 9 manufacturers involved in the Hypercar top category. In addition to Toyota, Porsche, Ferrari, Peugeot and Cadillac, already present in 2023, BMW, Lamborghini, Alpine and Isotta Fraschini will be adding to the incredible Hypercar field (19 entries). And the GT category, with entries from Aston Martin, Corvette, Ford, Lexus and McLaren, as well as Ferrari and Porsche, will not be outdone by a very fine line-up of GT3s (18 entries).
On the Belgian side, our country will be magnificently represented by some of our “top guns”: Stoffel Vandoorne (Peugeot), Laurens Vanthoor (Porsche), Dries Vanthoor (BMW) in Hypercar and Maxime Martin (BMW), Sarah Bovy (Lamborghini) and Tom Van Rompuy (Corvette) in GT3. Not to mention the presence of the 'black-yellow-red' WRT team, which will be officially defending BMW's colours in Hypercar and GT3.
Former F1 drivers Robert Kubica (Ferrari), Nyck De Vries (Toyota), Jenson Button (Porsche), Antonio Giovinazzi (Ferrari) and Mick Schumacher (Alpine) will also be taking part, as will non-ten-time motorbike world champion Valentino Rossi, who will be defending BMW's colours in GT3 with the Belgian WRT team. Yet another reason not to miss this year's.
The third round of the World Championship, the TotalEnergies 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps is the perfect preparation for the championship's showpiece event, the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
As well as its sporting dimension, the WEC is an event to be enjoyed by all the family (free for children under 12, reduced rate for 12-16 year olds). A host of entertainment and access to the paddock are included in the price of the ticket.
