The Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps suspends its activities until  3rd of April inclusive

Covid 19 – Measures decreed by the Belgian Government

The National Security Council announced on Thursday night a ban on all recreational, sporting, cultural and folkloric activities, both public and private, and regardless of their size, until 3rd of April inclusive.

With a concern to guarantee the health, safety and well-being of its visitors, clients, suppliers and staff, the Circuit must thus suspend its  activities despite the enormous disappointment that this decision brings to our customers and fans of the Circuit just several days away from resumption of the season.

Up to now in the “winter season”, that is to say that everyday track activities were only to resume again on the 16th of March. Participating in containing the spread of Covid-19 has been a priority for us for several weeks now, and the Circuit has followed and applied, from day to day, all the recommendations issued by the authorities.

We have also diligently followed all the different decisions taken by the organisers of various championships  present at the Circuit, the  teams and other countries in which motorsports events take place.

However,  we had anticipated the resumption of the season and various meetings were held at the Circuit’s management level to discuss  prevention and management of the crisis. From then, all the measures of communication and prevention had been put in place on the site to protect the health of all: posters with various instructions for the Circuit’s public, staff and suppliers, more rigorous cleaning with a disinfectant solution of all our buildings with more frequent cleanings by cleaning staff, and so on.

The entire world is confronted with an unprecedented situation and the Circuit is continuing its meetings to assess the situation and will organise the rest of the season in line with the development of the situation.

We would  like to thank all our clients, organisers, teams, fans, visitors and all the teams participating in our activities for your understanding and support.
