Covid-19 -  Stronger measures taken in Belgium

This Tuesday 17 March, the National Security Council of Belgium took the decision of having a lock-down in Belgium from Wednesday the 18th of March at noon until the 5th of April inclusive, as part of the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.

Consequently, the Circuit of  Spa-Francorchamps will be closed until the 5th of April

As you know, we are  faced with an exceptional situation that is impacting on the entire world and has immediate consequences for the activities of the Circuit.

Our main preoccupation remains to ensure the protection of our own teams, volunteers, organisers, fans, visitors, customers,  promotors, teams and suppliers and to participate in the collective effort asked of each one of us in order to counteract the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

In this context, since the 16th March, we have been implementing suitable actions in order that our associates can benefit from remote working or allowing them to ensure, inter alia,  that their children are taken care of, as the schools are closed. Our team remains available, however, to answer your questions.

Furthermore, the Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps continues its meetings for assessment and management of the crisis and to stay informed, from day to day, of the decisions taken by various official bodies, both at government and sporting level.

We are working actively, and hand in hand with all the stakeholders concerned, to do a reshuffling of the Circuit’s calendar, that will be inevitable given the confinement measures and/or the ban on travel decreed in various countries.

We want to warmly thank all our fans, our visitors, our organisers and customers for the many messages of understanding and support received. We will keep you informed as regularly as possible of every new development .

Be careful, respect the official recommendations, avoid unnecessary contacts and stay home as much as possible. Also take good care of your loved ones.

The more we respect the measures decreed, the faster we will find ourselves back on the track!
