Resumption of training and sports competitions behind closed doors from the 8th of June

The Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps is delighted by today’s decision taken by the Belgian National Security Council to authorise the resumption of training and sports competitions behind closed doors in Belgium from the 8th of June.

Trackdays will be able to resume at the world’s most beautiful Circuit. The same is true for sports competitions, which will also be able to be held behind closed doors, with strict adherence to the health and safety measures imposed, in full collaboration with our organisers, promotors and the RACB. Mass events remain prohibited until the 31st of August.

The health and safety of all remains our primary concern, and the participants and the Circuit will continue to ensure that the number of people present onsite is kept to a minimum, in order to ensure the safe operation of the activity.

Nathalie Maillet: “We are very pleased with the announcement of this second phase in the resumption of our activities. These must still be held behind closed doors but it bodes well for the future. The drivers, teams, organisers and the Circuit will be sure to put on a great show via the live race broadcasts”.

It will, of course, be more important than ever to adhere to all the health and safety measures introduced for the resumption of individual professional training on the 18th of May: traffic flows, masks, visors, hydroalcoholic gel, medical, etc., in order to comply with the guidelines issued by the authorities to ensure everyone’s health is protected.

We are living in unprecedented times, across the globe, and we are looking forward to seeing our fans again as soon as conditions allow.
