One of the most beautiful races in the 2016 world calendar

Flagship event of the Blancpain GT series, this 68th edition of the Total 24 Hours of Spa promises to be spectacular.
For the public, the most beautiful GTs from around the world will battle it out each second to allow their drivers to mount the highest step of the podium. Because, in car racing as in other sports, only victory is glorious.
66 race cars will be undertaking the double round of the Spa clock and only a very wise person could possibly pick a favourite among the teams and crews. Whether Audi, Bentley, McLaren, Mercedes, Nissan, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Jaguar, or Aston Martin, all of these manufacturers have one or several teams which include top-flight drivers ready to gallantly defend their chance. 12 former winners of this magnificent event will be at the starts.
This year, the Blancpain GT Series participants will be joined by the Intercontinental GT Challenge, just to give even more spice to this legendary race. This new competition is quite simply the World Championship for these GT race cars and Spa will be the second leg of the year for this series. The first one took place in Bathurst Australia for its famous 12 hours.
Spectacle will certainly not be lacking this year either on the banks of the Eau Rouge, a spectacle that will begin with the traditional and much-loved parade in Spa, starting Wednesday at 4 pm. This gives the public a chance to see up close these splendid machines which never hesitate about coming to meet them.
But the Total 24 Hours of Spa also offers loads of activities for the public attending. The Lotto Village and its many activities: trial show, simulators, race cars, trampolines, bouncy castles, Adventure Village,... The Pirelli Challenge which allows everyone to drive miniature GTs on a Circuit drawn out in the paddocks. An exhibition of the most beautiful Supercars will be organised in the paddocks. Fancy some thrills? Don't hesitate about getting yourself to the karting track. Finally, the famous pit walk to meet your favourite drivers will take place on Saturday at 1.55 pm.
There will also be additional races. 4 sprint races which will certainly give a rush of adrenaline for everyone before the start of the 24 hours.
A start not to be missed with a very spectacular arrival of the Belgian flag. You'll have to look up to the sky....
Let's not forget the traditional fireworks display which will start at 10.45 pm.
To top it all, the grand podium located behind the “Endurance” stands will host the “Show Chaud” (hot show) concerts with among others Quentin Mosimann and Fedde Le Grand.
2016 will surely prove to be a great vintage. The countdown has begun!
