The Superprestige at Spa-Francorchamps

This Saturday, 3 December, will mark the return of the Superprestige cyclo-cross at Spa-Francorchamps, like in 2014 and 2015. This is an opportunity to see the global stars of this very demanding discipline in action. The best competitors will be here to battle it out for a prestigious victory on a very spectacular route and a judged finish line above the legendary Raidillon.

It's interesting to know that this championship is in its 35th edition, played on 8 rounds in Belgium and the Netherlands, between 2 October 2016 and 11 February 2017. The event disputed at Francorchamps will be the fifth of the championship.

Five starts, for five categories of runners, are on the programme: the U17 (for those under 17), the juniors (under 18), the hopefuls under 23 (Grand Prix Patrick Gaudy), the female elite (Superprestige Ladies trophy), and finally the male elite (Hansgrohe Superprestige Elite).

The first start will be at 9:45am for the young people under 17, and the other rounds will follow throughout the day. And the stars of the discipline will be unleashed at 3pm.

So we're making a date with you for this ultimate event of the year on the circuit. A very different atmosphere awaits you at this and is the opportunity for some among you to discover this very popular sport and for everyone to have  a breath of fresh air on the most beautiful circuit in the world.

Also good to know: snack bars and fast food outlets located on the outskirts of the Circuit will be open, as well as the Pit Bar restaurant where guests can warm up with a good meal or a hot coffee…
