Running on the most beautiful Circuit in the world!

On Saturday, 5 March, 2016 the third edition of the "Spa-Francorchamps Run" will be taking place. Known the world over for the practice of motorsport, our Circuit is increasingly welcoming other disciplines or activities, whether sporting or not. As a reminder, in 2012 the Euroskills (European Championship of the trades for young people under 25 years of age) was organised in the Circuit paddocks. Let's also remember the Spa Cycling challenge which has been held each year a week after the Formula 1 Grand Prix, and also the third edition of the Cyclocross Superprestige series which will be taking place next December.

And so, for the third consecutive year, courageous joggers are coming here to challenge the Raidillon of Eau Rouge on the 5 of March next.

But let there be no mistake about it; after this wall represented by the Raidillon, there is nothing exactly easy either about the long straight stretch of the  Kemmel which brings us to Les Combes.  In fact, this may not look like much but this straight stretch that Formula 1 cars gobble up in a few seconds is also a rise which seems to be interminable when running. After that,  there is the long descent toward the Double Gauche turns passing by the Bruxelles turn. In this portion of the Circuit, runners can enjoy the beautiful view that one has of the Pit Building, stands and facilities that surround the paddocks. But before passing back in front of the pitlanes, they head left towards other mythical areas of the Circuit: Fagnes, the Campus, the Courbe Paul Frère, and the terrible sequence of the two Blanchimont turns before arriving at the Chicane and finally, after 7 km of suffering - for some - and of intense pleasure, they have the joy of passing in front of the big stand on the finish line, or head off again for one or two additional laps… and re-encounter the Raidillon by first passing through the famous hairpin turn of la Source.

Because this Spa-Francorchamps Run offers 3 possibilities for its participants: one, two or three laps of the Circuit! Pleasure is a reward at the end of effort for these other enthusiasts!
