Driven by its desire to deliver a unique experience and meet the expectations of its fans, from this Thursday the Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps is giving its public the opportunity to access free WiFi on almost its entire site.
The WiFi is accessible via the network name CircuitSpa_free leading to a client portal where the user will be able to log in to access this new service offered by the Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps.
This user-friendly and efficient WiFi connectivity has been rolled out by the operator Proximus in partnership with Cisco and Service partner.
The goal of the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps is to have a Circuit that is 100% connected. With this in mind, over 15 km of dark fibre has been installed the whole way along the track enabling:
- The installation of new cameras and strengthening of track safety and security
- An improved service for organisers, promoters, and others for televised reception andrecording
- High-performing WiFi for professional connections (promoters, organisers, team, VIP, Press room, etc.)
- Free WiFi for the general public
An App with more functionalities
Additionally, the Circuit’s mobile App, launched a month ago, already offers new functionalities.
Geolocation on the site has been specially adapted for the F1 2018 Johnnie Walker Belgian Grand Prix, allowing visitors to find all the services offered on the Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps: grandstands, restaurants and snack points, toilets, paddock, Fan Zone, various activities and entertainment, and so on.
Its calendar, which includes both the timing related to the racing and the various activities on the site, can be personalised based on your preferences and means you will miss none of your favourite events thanks to notifications.
Finally, its structure has been fine-tuned for even more user-friendly browsing.
These functionalities are in addition to those present in the App launched a month ago: original filters for selfies or even for the more classic information on the Circuit such as the latest news, the e-game zone, or calendar for the season, and all this in 4 languages: French, Dutch, German and English.
Available as a free download on the App Store and Google Play (Spa Francorchamps), this App will enhance the experience for all fans and visitors to the Circuit.
